The project involves researching and interpreting industrial and technological sites along the River Dour and promoting it to the local community. It aims to increase awareness of the River Dour's industrial and technological heritage, highlighting its importance in the shaping of Dover.

The project has produced a 'map style' trail leaflet to inform walkers, visitors and school children; an education pack for schools and clubs; and these web pages providing information about the project and some of the wonderful industrial and technological advances that have taken place in the history of this river.
